Yankee Hanky Panky - No Thanky
Since I’m a Native New Yorker and everyone in New York City
is talking about the NY Yankees, I feel compelled to write about the game.
Although the Yanks did not have the “Happy Ending” that men desire,
it was still an exciting, sit on the edge of your seat ball game.
AJ Burnett, the Yankee’s pitcher on 3 day rest, lasted only 2+ innings.
Chase Utley blasted a 3 run homer in the 3rd and the Phillies took the lead 3-1.
When the Philly carnage was finished, Burnett gave up 6 runs, walked 4,
was constantly behind in counts and was finally ousted in the 3rd inning.
Then, in the 7th inning Chase Utley went deep again for his second homer
of the game (tying Reggie Jackson’s world series 5 homer record).
Score 7-2 Phillies.
Before the inning was ended, Philadelphia blasted another solo homer making
the score a heartbreaking 8-2. At that point, it looked like the game was over
for New York.
However, In the top of the ninth inning, the Yankee electricity began to flow.
The score was now 8-5 and the Yankees had 2 men on base with…
the Savior - Derek Jeter at bat.
Derelict Jeter hit into a double play.
But a run was scored making it 8-6.
Hideki Matsui then cracks a base hit keeping hope alive. A Homer would tie it up.
But just like in the poem - there was no joy in Mudville…
The Mighty Casey has struck out and the Yankees lost 8-6.
But, that’s OK.
The Yanks want to win in their home town in their new stadium.
Phillies Folly will be on Wednesday!
The Yankees will be heading back home and resting up on Tuesday.
I will be writing about SEX. Make sure you bookmark this site and check back!
