The sense that you need to learn just isn’t there.
If you ask the kids what they want or need,
they will say an IPod or some sneakers.

In South Africa, they don’t ask for money or toys.
They ask for uniforms so they can go to school.”

So during a visit with Nelson Mandela, Oprah pledged $10 Million
Dollars to him to build a school for girls in South Africa.

is the result of this collaboration.

is a project of The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation,
an Illinois 501(c)(3) not-for-profit.

The message is loud and clear.

As Oprah herself says, the gift of learning is the greatest gift.
Let us not take learning - the greatest gift of all for granted.
