Stephen Pierce at the Learning Annex
I met Stephen Pierce at a seminar at the Learning Annex yesterday.
Stephen (for those of you who don’t know) is one of the better known
Internet gurus, who has became a multi-millionaire.
He showed pictures of his 12,000 square foot mansion with a
$200,000 home theatre system on 4 ½ acres of land.
He showed us these pictures, not to impress us, but to impress upon us
that anyone can achieve the same level of success
(if they have the right mindset).
When he told the story of his life, the audience understood.
Stephen was ambitious, but found himself swimming in debt.
He filed for Bankruptcy. Then, 7 months later, he filed for bankruptcy
again but was denied this time (because you have to wait 7 years).
He dropped out of high school after 10th grade and never finished
(not even a GED). He still has a bullet in him from when he was shot.
Stephen found himself homeless. He ended up sleeping in a friend’s
business office. While he was there, he started using the computer.
He tells the story that he didn’t have a computer of his own
and didn’t have an internet connection of his own.
Yet over time, he discovered a way to make money online.
When he received his first check, he didn’t even have a bank
account (because of the bankruptcy) and had to make a deal
with a check cashing place to cash the check for him.
The purpose of the story is to illustrate that anyone (this means YOU)
no matter what obstacles or hurdles have to be overcome,
can be successful (if you have the proper mindset and motivation).
Yet, 98% of the people in America make less than $100,000 per year.
Now put this in perspective…
Today, 1,000,000,000 (1 Billion) people will go to bed:
- Hungry
- With no drinking water
- Surviving on less than $1 a day
- Living in fear of being killed
Now if a 10th grade high school dropout who was homeless,
dead broke and with a bullet in him can become a multi-millionaire…
