Michael Jackson - As Mysterious in Death as in Life

What did Michael Jackson really die from?

By now, everyone in the world knows that Michael Jackson has passed away.
What we don’t know yet is the exact cause of death.

Many questions have yet to be answered.

Published reports have said that his personal physician may have injected him
with Demerol just before his death. The good doctor denies this allegation.

The Jackson family wants to know exactly what happened. They had an independent
autopsy done. What we do know so far is that Michael weighed only 112 pounds
at the time of his death, his body did have needle marks plus a fractured rib.

We will have to wait a month or so for the toxicology reports.

The police say (so far) that Michael’s doctor (Dr Conrad Murray) is not a suspect,
but rather a witness. But it seems curious to many… why did Dr Murray hire Ed Chernoff,
of Stradley, Chernoff and Alford, a downtown Houston Criminal Law Firm to represent him?

The lawyer said police have made assurances that Dr Murray is not the subject
of the police probe, but is being asked to provide information as Jackson’s attending
physician to “fill in the blanks” for the medical examiner and assist investigating agencies.

He’s a witness, not a suspect.

Yet the Reverend Jesse Jackson has said that this has turned from an inquiry to
an investigation. Dr Murray was trying to resuscitate Michael Jackson when emergency
personnel were called to Jackson’s home Thursday afternoon.

When the EMTs arrived, the medics wanted to pronounce him dead on the scene.
But Dr Murray refused to let them “call it” according to sources close to the situation.

When EMTs arrived there was evidence someone had been performing CPR on Michael
for “quite some time.” There was evidence of Lidocaine (an old-school drug that can be
used to treat disturbances in the heart’s rhythm).

Medics took over performing CPR but determined Jackson had already passed away.
EMTs wanted to call the coroner to pick up the body. Dr Murray demanded the EMTs
continue performing CPR anyway, and demanded that they take Michael to the hospital.

Curious, don’t you think?
