All hell is about to break loose on Wall Street
and Around The Globe…
Lehman has warned that new accounting rules will force
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to raise a staggering
$75 billion in new capital to offset loan losses.
That means both must release a blizzard of new stock
to raise that money.
Investors, faced with a glut of […]

Forgive me. I’m a day late in getting out Lesson 2.
Here in New York City, the weather hit 100 degrees
and I decided to beat the heat by going to the beach.
That freedom of doing what one wants when one wants
is the basis for becoming an entrepreneur. It gives you
something as equally important as money, that […]

I went to see the movie Iron Man yesterday with my 19 year old son.
I’ll express my opinion in a minute but before I do,
here is an email I received from John Alanis:
Hey guys,
When I was a kid I was a comic book fan. Not a nut, not a

I saw Donald Trump over the weekend - up close and personal.
It was at the Learning Annex here in New York City at the
Jacob Javits Center (which Donald Trump developed).
I sat up front so I could get a good look.
Trump actually looks better in person than he does on TV.
And he gives one hell of […]

I graduated from Howard University a couple decades ago.
I don’t remember who spoke at my graduation ceremony.
But this year 2007, Howard University’s 139th graduating class
will probably never forget who spoke at their graduation ceremony.
Oprah Winfrey was the commencement orator.
Oprah Winfrey has long believed that education is the door to freedom.
The actress, talk show host, and […]

In the last post I discussed what “NOT” to write on your
scholarship essay. Now I’ll give you a few tips about what
“TO” do on your scholarship essay to win.
But first, a little background.
In the old days (about 10 years ago, before everyone had a computer)
many scholarships were available… BUT not everyone knew about them.
Sometimes the […]

While I’m on the subject of “what NOT to write in your
scholarship essay, let me mention a couple more things…
1) Don’t talk about religion. It’s fine to have religious
convictions and many of the scholarship judges will
appreciate that, but it’s also one of the quickest ways
to offend that one judge who doesn’t agree with you.
2) Don’t […]
